History

Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic IncIt was incorporated in June 1987 in Santo Domingo by a group of prominent citizens and businessmen from the Dominican Republic and Canada. The Chamber has been an active partner in the promotion of relations between Canada and the Dominican Republic since its inception.

Mandate

Contribute to the promotion and promotion of bilateral trade, investment and cultural relations between the Dominican Republic and Canada.

Objectives

  • Respond to the needs of our members through a wide range of services, activities and opportunities for interrelation.
  • Provide our members with timely, pertinent and reliable information on issues that affect trade between the Dominican Republic and Canada.
  • The work of the Canadian Embassy in Santo Domingo in the promotion of Canadian exports to the Dominican Republic.
  • Help the Dominican exporters in their efforts to penetrate the Canadian market.
  • Promote Canadian investment in the Dominican Republic.
  • Provide a forum where Dominican entrepreneurs can share their business experiences with Canada.
  • Provide a forum where Canadian entrepreneurs can share their business experiences with the Dominican Republic.
  • Promote studies in Canada for Dominican students.
  • Create strategic partnerships with other business associations.
  • Act as a lobbyist on behalf of its members, to coordinate with Canada’s Embassy in the Dominican Republic, Canada’s market access and investment climate.
